CompositesAI one of 33 Finalists in JEC Composites Innovation Award Competition

AnalySwift congratulates all the teams who made the finals list for the 2026 JEC Composites Innovation Award. The company is excited to have its CompositesAI selected as one of the 33 finalists in 11 categories. We extend our thanks to JEC and the jury for this recognition. CompositesAI, a platform jointly developed by AnalySwift and Purdue University, was selected as one of three finalists in the Digital, AI & Data category. Created in 1998, the JEC Composites Innovation Award program aims to identify, promote, and reward the most innovative composite solutions worldwide.

CompositesAI is an AI-powered expert system that consolidates certified composites knowledge and simulation tools via LLMs. It combines the authority of leading experts with the precision of simulation software, enabling domain experts to build custom AI agents without AI expertise.

“Advanced composites enable lighter, high-performance structures, but decades of accumulated knowledge remain fragmented across documents, software tools, and experts’ tacit experience,” said Dr. Wenbin Yu, AnalySwift CTO and the Milton Clauser Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University. “CompositesAI addresses this by creating an AI-powered expert system that unifies static data (papers, standards, reports), dynamic data (simulation tools, physics-based or machine-learned), and tacit engineering insight. The platform provides sourced, explainable, traceable answers to natural-language queries, while linking prompts directly to physics-based or machine-learning simulations. The growing corpus will support a composites-specific foundational model.”

Key benefits of CompositesAI

  • Consolidate all composites expert knowledge
  • Democratize expert knowledge using chat interface
  • Enable simulation tools for entire supply chain
  • Leverage all public composites knowledge and tools
  • Intelligentize proprietary knowledge via AI

Those interested are welcome to sign up for a free account at CompositesAI.com. More details can be found from the CompositesAI workshop at 2025 ASC conference. An article about the collaboration and launch of CompositesAI can be found here and the award information can be found here. Dr. Yu will be available at JEC 2026 to discuss CompositesAI, simulation of composites, and his now book at the Innovation Planet 6 D 119. His new book, Multiscale Structural Mechanics: Top-Down Modeling of Composite Structures Using Mechanics of Structure Genome with Wiley (January 2026), presents a practical, unified approach to multiscale composites modeling—bridging micromechanics and structural mechanics with clarity and rigor.
