AnalySwift CTO named Fellow of American Society for Composites (ASC), also receives Outstanding Researcher Award
AnalySwift CTO received the 2024 ASC Outstanding Researcher Award, and was named Fellow of ASC.
West Lafayette, Indiana (USA) – AnalySwift, LLC, a provider of efficient high-fidelity modeling software for composites and other advanced materials, announced today that AnalySwift CTO, Wenbin Yu, received two significant honors this week at the American Society for Composites (ASC) 39th Annual Technical Conference in San Diego. He was named both Fellow and Outstanding Researcher by the ASC last week. Yu is also the Milton Clauser Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University.
A Fellow of ASC is a distinguished member who has made genuinely outstanding contributions to the composites community through research, practice, education, and/or service.
An ASC Outstanding Researcher is a distinguished member of the composites community who has made a significant impact on the science and technology of composite materials through a sustained research effort over a number of years.
“Accepting these two prestigious awards at the same time is an honor that surpasses my imagination,” said Yu. “Joining the prestigious list of pioneers and world-famous researchers in composites, I’m proud to continue Purdue’s legacy in composites, following the footsteps of great composites pioneers like Prof. CT Sun and Prof. Byron Pipes.”
Yu also gave a talk at ASC on Three-Dimensional Structural Analysis of Shell Structures Using MSG-Based Beam Model. He discussed a wind turbine modeling project related to improving consistency in modeling of wind turbine blades. The news release from Purdue University is available here.
